WANTED LINES:

- FORMER TRAVELING PARTNER:
At some point before Jim joined Cirque Nocturne, he briefly traveled with this individual. Gender and species is entirely open, but the relationship was either rocky from the start, or didn't end well. They may have been friendly but one of them used their abilities inappropriately and drove the other away. They may have been contentious from the word "go" and interactions spiraled until they split ways. Regardless, they're back together now, and will have to deal with the fallout. This line can progress in a number of different ways; anywhere from an escalating workplace rivalry, to an awkward reunion of friends or a 'one that got away' (for better or worse) if the character is female. Writer preference and character chemistry will determine much of it.

- THE ADDICTION: [TAKEN] A cirque co-worker whom he fed from once, most likely by accident or in a desperate moment when the hunger was too much, and he discovered that he has a particular craving for this individual's fear. He hasn't quite been able to keep himself away since, even if he hates himself for it and resolves never to do so again in daylight hours. Each consecutive time he feeds from this individual, the more serious the craving gets. Can progress in several directions per the writer's preferences, or character chemistry.

- THE SHOULDER DEMON: Another of the spooks or creeps in the Cirque. He or she appeals to the worst of Jim's nature, prodding at the more base urges of the cursed side he tries to keep under control. I'd like to see what depths he can be driven, or inspired too, with the proper bad influence.

- THE CURE: Jim's ancestral line has been afflicted with the Wendigo curse for at least a millenia. As far as he's aware, there have only been a few of his kind active in North America at a time - a result of hunters, extreme withdrawl from civilization or, according to his father, suicide. None of them have been successful in finding a cure. Worse? Men in his family so afflicted don't live past 50 - at least not as themselves. They go insane, lose their humanity entirely and typically end up haunting the northern woods, mindless hungry shells of the men they once were. The consumption of human flesh speeds this process, becoming harder to resist each time they do. This character would need to have magical ability, a familiarity with curses, and preferably a background in shamanic rituals. Ideally, he/she would be extremely reluctant to help Jim, due to the reputation of his kind, and require a great deal of convincing, favors, or some sort of probationary proof of worthiness. The more creative the terms, the better.

- FAMILY TIES: (For a human, or gifted human) The Wendigo curse has been afflicting men in the family for centuries. This character is not effected (a sister, a female relative from the father's side, or male or female from the mother's side), and may or may not know about the Deckhard's nasty secret. They've come to the cirque for adventure, whether or not they belong there. James is having a hard time convincing them to leave for their own safety, which presents a host of problems. How to protect family from the the things that go bump at the cirque, when he's one of them? Dramatic but friendly, probably sometimes humorous familial line.
